Situated at the Nepal-Sikkim border, Kanchenjunga is the world’s third tallest peak at 8586 meters. The name Kanchenjunga means Five Treasures of Great Snow, which refers to the five 8000 meter peaks that emerge from the Kanchenjunga himal. This mountain range is considered sacred by local inhabitants, as these five peaks are said to represent the five repositories of God. The landscape formed by peak-studded ridges crisscrossing the Kanchenjunga massif provides for incredible scenery throughout our ascent. The way to the summit involves negotiating various challenging terrain, including scrambling across boulder fields and mixed climbing sections.
