At 8586m, Kanchanjunga is Nepal’s second tallest mountain, and the third tallest in the world. This is a journey into a remote region with many challenges in store, intended for the serious enthusiast. Located in the far north east of Nepal, next to the borders of Sikkim and Tibet, Kanchenjunga is Nepal’s eastward most 8000m peak. The region boasts over 15 peaks reaching 5000m, 4 of which exceed 8000m. This is a mesmerizing journey, beginning in subtropical lowlands inhabited by cultures like the Sherpa and Limbu, crossing waterfalls and terraced farmlands, into a stark world of commanding peaks and glacial moraines.
