The perennial Annapurna Circuit trek is a journey into the heart of Nepal’s dazzling diversity. Considered to be one of the world’s finest trekking routes, this trek will charm you, challenge you, and leave you in a state of reverie. Beginning in the lush and culture-rich foothills of the Annapurnas, we traverse the Marsyandi Valley, leaving a picturesque landscape of patchwork farmlands and sub-tropical jungle to ascend into the breathtaking and rugged beauty of Manang Valley. With the commanding peaks of Annapurna and Himalchuli as our backdrop, we make the ascent to the epic Thorong La pass at 5,416 meters, from which a 360-degree view of the region will leave you awestruck. We descend through the Kali Gandaki, the world’s deepest river gorge, an ecological wonder flowing with waterfalls and rivulets, on our way back to Pokhara. With its vast assortments of landscapes, and insights into the cultures of a variety of both Hindu and Buddhist communities, this trek is a great way to experience what Nepal has to offer.

Trip Notes
This route has been modified slightly from the “classic” Annapurna Circuit route in response to new roads that have been built to the dismay of many veteran trekkers. Bypassing several traditional stops, which have been connected recently by roads, our route is designed to maintain the rural charm that the Annapurnas are famous for. This is a challenging trek – its crowning moment across the Thorong La pass requiring acclimatization, which will be achieved by making a gradual ascent and a scheduled day of rest in Manang. Expect many climbs and descents at a pace of 4 – 6 hours walking each day. Autumn (Sep – Nov) and Spring (Mar – May) are the best seasons to trek in the Annapurnas, with warm sunny days and crisp cold nights. Winter (Dec – Feb) can offer great visibility during the days, but may be too cold for some and there is a chance some routes may be impassible due to snow. The summer monsoon (Jun – Jul) can be an interesting time to trek, providing for lush vegetation and balmy weather, though you’ll undoubtedly experience copious amounts of rainfall.
